There were some big score-lines in Round 13 of Betfred League One this weekend, with a clean sweep of away victories…
Rochdale continued their fine form with a convincing win over Hunslet in a contest between 3rd v 4th. The Hornets made it a fifth straight win on Sunday, ending their opposition’s winning streak in the process.
Oldham then maintained their place at the top of the League One table with a strong win over Workington, which was shown live on The Sportsman.
The game was evenly matched at half-time with the Roughyeds taking just a 0-8 advantage in Cumbria. A flurry of four tries would then follow for the visitors, before Town went over for a consolation three minutes from the final hooter.
Keighley Cougars crossed five times against Cornwall, which included braces from Adam Ryder and Ellis Robson, with Junior Sa’u being the third try-scorer of the afternoon.
The Cougars were over the whitewash within the first minute of the game and racked up an 18-0 lead in the first forty, but the Choughs rallied to ensure the Cougars would only score twice in the second half.
Finally, North Wales Crusaders were victorious away from home; defeating Newcastle for a second time this season.
